The prophet Isaiah spoke to a people walking in darkness. Yet through his words, God offered not only correction but comfort – not only judgment, but Joy. In Jesus, we see the fulfillment of these ancient promises in his first coming – and the hope of their final completion as we await his second coming. We live in the tension between the already and the not yet, with hearts awakened by the promise: He came…and he will come again!
