senior ministries

Springfield First has a very active Senior Ministry. We have regular gatherings for fellowship, Bible studies, Sunday morning classes, quilting, games, and trips! Our seniors are very active in volunteerism in many areas of our church: serving as ushers, greeters, and office helpers; assisting with mailings; serving at the Welcome Center; helping in KidLife; joining prayer teams; and in active ministry to our homebound friends in care facilities. We also participate in ministering at the Asbury Children's Supper Hour, Kumler Neighborhood Ministries, the Midwest Mission Distribution Center, and hospice care.

Spring Communion Service will be on Wednesday, May 20,

in Atrium 2 and 3 for all of our Caring Friends at 11:30am. This is a

special service for ones who are unable to attend regular church

services and their “Caring Friends” (also known as visitation volunteers). This abbreviated service is planned especially for each of you along with a delicious served meal as we spend more quality time with our caring friends as well as our pastors and staff.

Please contact Carli Burton or call 793-9760 x111 for reservations.

Contact Mac Shotwell if transportation is needed.
