welcome to

Dear Springfield First Family

Welcome to the Courageous initiative!

Joshua was the successor to Moses who led the Israelites out of oppression in Egypt. It would now be up to Joshua to lead them into the Promised Land. There would be great challenges on this next leg of the journey. God said to Joshua, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go” Joshua 1:9.

Living in the 21st century as a Christ-follower requires great courage!

Beginning October 19 and 20, I invite you to:

  • Seek God in prayer.
  • Participate in one of the many classes or small groups that will be exploring what it means to be courageous.
  • Be present in worship.
  • Open your heart to where God is leading you on your journey with Him.
This is your study guide and journal. Plan to bring it with you every weekend to worship and to your classes or small groups. Prayerfully read through the material and begin asking God what your courageous story is and how he wants you to move forward in becoming more of a courageously devoted follower of Jesus.

Let’s begin by devoting ourselves to becoming people of great courage!

Yours In Grace,

Roger Grimmett | Senior Pastor
