June 7, 4:00-6:00pm
Though we cannot bid Pastor Nicole farewell in person, we can do so through our car window. To that end, we have decided to offer this 2-hour event for you/your family to drive onto our campus and bid Nicole and family farewell. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed on campus by church staff. Our staff will have masks on and will be properly social distanced from each other and from your vehicle. They will be able to greet you while you remain safely in your car.
We can make this a fun and enjoyable time together as long as we adhere to the following guidelines:
- No getting out of your car. No hugging, shaking hands, or high-fiving any of the staff or fellow church members. You are welcome to roll down your window and talk with Nicole, her family, or any staff member.
- No bringing squirt guns and spraying cars or people. (Only the Pastors get to do that. LOL!)
- No getting out of your car to take pictures or for any other reason.
- No remaining on campus after the event.
Directions upon arrival at 2941 S. Koke Mill Rd:
Please enter our campus from the Koke Mill (East) entrance. From there you will be directed to the far north part of the building (KidLife area). You will continue in your car (slowly) toward the main East entrance of our building. You will be greeted by staff along the way. Pastor Nicole and family will be stationed under the canopy area where you can greet them and even take a picture of them safely from the confines of your car. Please do not exit your car. After you have greeted them, please continue on, exiting either at the Wabash entrance or the West side entrance of the campus. We are sorry that you will not be able to remain anywhere on campus to visit with each other.
You should have already received an invitation to bring/send cards, letters, and gifts of appreciation to the church for Pastor Nicole and family. Those gifts can either be mailed or dropped off inside the main east doors Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-3:00pm. You will not be able to hand out anything from your car during this event on June 7. Anything that arrives for Nicole after June 7 will be mailed to her new home.
(If you are sick or compromised medically in anyway, please stay home and keep yourself and others safe.)
Thank you for your understanding! Please know that this is doable, not preferable. We can make this work and have a good time together. It will be wonderful to see all of you. It has been a long two months for each of us. Hope to see you from your car on June 7th between 4:00 and 6:00pm!
